Hidden States Unconference

December 3rd 2024

A one-day unconference, gathering researchers, designers, prototypers and engineers interested in pushing the boundaries of AI interfaces, going below the API and working with the hidden states.

Who

The best part of a traditional conference is the conversations in the hallways between talks, let's spend all day having those conversations with a small, curated group!

We want to bring together researchers, designers, prototypers, engineers, builders, students and anyone enthusiastic about the intersection of AI and UX.

Keynote Speakers

Leland McInnes is a researcher at the Tutte Institute for Mathematics and Computing and has contributed greatly to the intersection of Machine Learning and UX with open source libraries like UMAP, HDBSCAN and DataMapPlot.
Linus Lee investigates AI and its impact on knowledge representation and information tools. Linus currently advises as an EIR at Thrive Capital, bringing experience bridging research and product from Notion, where he was part of the early AI team. Prior to Notion, Linus spent time writing and building community around AI and HCI, serving as a researcher-in-residence at Betaworks.
